Over the last ten years I have worked on 100s of pitches at all stages. From seed pitches to angels, venture capital at Series A through later stage fundraising, private equity exits and IPOs.
I’m a Brit who now lives and works in San Francisco. I’m also married to the founder of three startups, so I know exactly what founders have to go through to build their businesses. It gives me a great insight into how the complete process works.
I started my career at the Criminal Bar in London, where I prosecuted and defended jury trials. I then went into institutional equity sales at Merrill Lynch, both in London and New York. There I experienced first hand how investors react to bad pitches - they switch off.
